I'm dreaming of...

...lots of pomegranates!



A volunteer pomegranate bush grew from the compost Stan put out by some raspberry vines a couple of years ago and we harvested our first edible fruit last Saturday. Michael and Rachel peeled it for us. It was delicious :)

There are some wonderful things about living here, fruitwise :)

On the other hand, I sure miss those Winesap apples from Magruder's I used to get when we lived in your neck of the woods!

We sent the girls out into the backyard to play while we worked on unpacking. I looked out the window and Coral was crouched down eating something. I ran out and she had found a pomegranate that had fallen over the wall from the neighbor's bush. She had peeled it and was chomping away.
